FIBT World Cup – Men’s Skeleton – Final Run

From Igls, Austria

It was going to take the runners falling off of the sled for Latvia’s Martin Dukurs to lose today’s Men’s Skeleton event in Igls.  That didn’t happen, and Dukurs had the field covered by over a full second.

Russia’s Alexander Tretiakov would finish second, benefitting from a solid second run.  That, coupled with Tomass Dukurs’s sub-par second run moved the elder Dukurs into third place.

Canadian Eric Neilson sat 15th after his first run, but set a blistering pace for his second run, vaulting him to a seventh place spot.  American Matthew Antoine finished 10th.
