Curtis Wins Third Career NAC Gold

From Park City, USA

(Nov. 20, 2018) – Kelly Curtis finished with a silver medal in the third race of the IBSF North American Cup season. One day later in Race 4, Curtis picked up one spot to take her third career gold medal in NAC action.

Curtis came into her second run just .12 behind teammate Michelle Toukan. Curtis put the pressure on Toukan with a race-fastest downtime. Toukan couldn’t answer, and Curtis finished the event as the gold medalist.

Curtis now has gold medals on three different tracks: Whistler, Lake Placid, and now Park City. She has two silver medals in two attempts in Calgary.

Race 3 winner Leslie Stratton finished with a silver medal, just over a half-second behind, while Toukan finished with a career-best bronze.

Katie Tannenbaum of the Virgin Islands finished fourth, ahead of Americans Sara Roderick in fifth and Mystique Ro in sixth.

Canadians Janelle Khan-Nielsen and Grace Dafoe finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Dafoe missed the second heat in Race 3 due to a hand injury.

Nicole Silveira and Audra Segree finished ninth and tenth.
