Blaser Wins 3rd Consecutive NAC Gold

(Nov. 30, 2018) – Andrew Blaser continued a strong showing in North American Cup action, winning gold in Lake Placid.

Blaser was the fastest in both heats to beat out Australian Nick Timmings by .6 of a second and win his third gold in as many races.

Timmings was faster than everyone than Blaser, with the Aussie slider putting down the second-quickest run in both heats on his way to a silver medal. The silver is his third medal in as many races.

Blaser and Timmings continue to battle for the North American Cup points lead, with the two men separated by 44 points going into the sixth race of the season.

Max DeLance finished with a bronze medal, continuing a strong showing in his debut IBSF season. The bronze is his second consecutive NAC medal. All three of DeLance’s finishes have been in the top four.

Canadian Blake Enzie finished a career-best fourth, ahead of teammate Aaron Victorian and American Daniel Barefoot, who rounded out the top six.

Chris Strup finished 12th with the fastest start in the first heat. Canadians Kyle Donsberger and Jeremiah Huo finished 13th and 15th, respectively.
