From Lake Placid, USA
(Jan. 25, 2019) – Felix Keisinger won his fourth consecutive Intercontinental Cup race, and in doing so swept the North American portion of the tour.
The German finished the first heat tied with British slider Craig Thompson. Thompson couldn’t keep pace with Keisinger on the second heat and fell to third overall, giving the Keisinger the victory.
Seunggi Jung came back from fifth after the first heat to finish in second. The silver medal was Jeung’s eighth top four in as many races, and secured the season ICC title for the Korean. Thompson finished just behind Jung in second in the overall standings.
Jisoo Kim, Mike Rogals, and Nathan Crumpted rounded out the top six in the race.
Stephen Garbett finished 13th for the United States, while Patrick Rooney led the way for Canada with a tenth place run. Rooney’s teammates Mark Lynch and Kyle Murray finshed 15th and 16th to finish their ICC season.
