Pigneter & Clara Win in Romania, Clinch Title

(Feb. 10, 2019) – Italians Patrick Pigneter & Florian Clara edged out Russians Aleksandr Egorov & Petr Popov on their way to doubles victory and a clinched World Cup title.

Pigneter & Clara were the quickest in the first heat, and held on to win despite a third-quickest second run. The win puts the Italian duo 120 points ahead of Egorov & Popov with one race to go, clinching the overall title.

Egorov & Popov finished second, with Patrick & Matthias Lambacher finishing third.
