Austin Sweeps NAC 2-man in Park City

Dec. 10, 2019 – Canada’s Taylor Austin swept the North American Cup Park City 2-man program, cruising victory in the fifth race of the NAC season.

Austin, along with Mark Mlakar on brakes, had the fastest push in both heats, and was the quickest at each timing line on his way to a 1.31 second victory over teammate Jeff McKeen.

Marley Linhares finished with a career-best bronze medal, with Hoon Ji fourth. Nick Cunningham finished fifth in his third race back after a season off, while Patrick Norton helped put three Canadian sleds in the top six in sixth.

Derek van den Brink finished eighth in the fourth Canadian sled, while James Brown finished ninth for Great Britain.
