From Königssee, GER
Dec. 14, 2019 – Martin Rosenberger led a German sweep of the Intercontinental Cup podium in Königssee, cruising to victory.
Rosenberger was the quickest in both heats on his way to a .44 second win over teammate Fabian Küchler. Nobody else was within a second of Rosenberger.
Christopher Grotheer, the Intercontinental Cup point leader, slid to a third place finish, just ahead of Chinese slider Wenhao Chen.
Great Britain’s Jerry Rice and Stefan Squire both placed in the top six, with Rice fifth and Squire sixth.
The United States nearly put a slider in the top ten with STephen Garbett missing out by .01, finishing 11th. Teammate Mike Rogals finished two spots back in 13th, while Daniel Barefoot rounded out the American effort in 20th.
Dave Greszczyszyn was the only North American in the top ten in Königssee, finishing just out of the top six in seventh. Teammates Blake Enzie and Mark Lynch finished 16th and 18th respectively for Canada.
