Austin Wins Fourth Straight 2-man Race

Jan. 6, 2020 – Taylor Austin won his fourth straight IBSF North American Cup 2-man race, cruising to victory in Lake Placid.

With Samuel Giguere on the brakes, Austin was the quickest off the top in both heats on his way to a nearly half-second victory over American Geoff Gadbois.

Gadbois moved up from third to win silver, while teammate Nick Cunningham won his third medal in four 2-man starts in his bobsled comeback.

Patrick Norton of Canada finished fourth, while Frank Del Duca finished fifth and Jeff McKeen sixth.

Great Britain’s James Brown finished ninth.
