2020 IBSF World Championships 4-man Start List

Feb. 27, 2020 – Below is the start list for the 4-man bobsled World Championships in Altenberg. The race will begin at 7:30 AM Eastern on Saturday, February 29, with the second heat scheduled for 9:00 AM. The third heat will begin at 7:00 AM on Sunday, with the fourth and final run scheduled for 8:30 AM.

4-man Bobsled (22 total):
3 sleds: GER, RUS
2 sleds: AUT, GBR, LAT, SUI
1 sled: CAN, CZE, FRA, ITA, JPN, KOR, ROU, USA

The three German pilots entered in the 2020 World Championships all have won gold medals in Altenberg over the last few seasons and will be the favorites for the four heat race over the weekend.

Outside of the German contingent, Oskars Kibermanis, Justin Kripps, and Hunter Church were the three right behind Francesco Friedrcih and Johannes Lochner in the 4-man points. All three will have a steep hill to climb if they want to unseat the Germans.

Great Britain’s Brad Hall and Lamin Deen both will look to improve from their 2-man efforts during the previous weekend’s racing.
