Snow still falling a bit from the skies, but nothing like the prior women’s skeleton race. The sole Canadian sled in the field is the leader, with Humphries/Baadsvik just .01 ahead of Martini/Tischer in GER1, and .02 over third place GER3 and Schneiderheinze/Thöne.
Solid first run for the American teams, with USA1 and USA3 back to back in 8th and 9th, but a half second out of the lead. What appeared to be a bad runner choice led to the USA2 sled of Schaaf/Eberling finishing 16th after heat 1.
