FIBT World Cup – Round 6 – Four-Man Bobsled – Heat 1

From St. Moritz, Switzerland

Max Arndt is trying to sweep the men’s bobsled races this weekend, but things appear to not be as easy in four-man.  Steven Holcomb in USA1 had the early lead, and sits second after the first heat, only .01 behind.  Manuel Machata is third, .08 from first, and Alexsandr Zubkov is fourth, also within a tenth of a gold medal.  Zubkov is joined in fourth by Beat Hefti, who is making his first four-man run of the season.

The Maskalans-led LAT1 sled is sixth, just .04 out of a bronze position, while Friedrich, Rush, Baumann and Van Calker round out the top 10, all within a tenth of Maskalans.

Great Britian’s Jackson sits 13th, while America’s Napier is 15th.
