FIBT World Cup – Round 7 – Women’s Skeleton – Heat 1

From Whistler, Canada

We all know that Mellisa Hollingsworth is good, that goes without saying.  Put her on home ice, and she’s even better.  Hollingsworth leads a four-sled pack after one heat in Whistler.  Her time of 55.09 is just .07 ahead of Lucy Katherine Chaffer, .09 ahead of Anja Huber and .1 ahead of Shelley Rudman.  Fellow Canadian Sarah Reid sits third, ahead of a three-sled pack of Marion Thees and Katharina Heinz.

Amy Gough is the third Canadian slider, she’s currently 9th, while Americans Anne O’Shea and Kimber Gabryszak sit 12th and 19th.
