Von Schleinitz Wins 4th Career EC Gold in Winterberg

From Winterberg, GER

(Nov. 28, 2020) – Kilian von Schleinitz won the second race of the IBSF European Cup season, edging out teammate Cedric Renner for the honor.

Renner finished second for his second medal of the weekend.

Germany couldn’t quite pull off the sweep of the podium as they had in both women’s races and the men’s opening race. Great Britain’s Ben Fulker finished third for his first career IBSF medal, well ahead of Felix Seibel in fourth.

Seibel, the previous race’s winner, had trouble at the start and despite a good slide down the Winterberg track he could only muster a ninth place run. On his second run he put down the heat’s fastest run to jump up to fourth position. Teammate Lukas Nydegger finished fifth.

Great Britain’s Jacob Salisbury finished sixth, just ahead of Spain’s Ander Mirambell in seventh.

Laurence Bostock had trouble at the start of his second run and fell from seventh to 12th, while The Gambia’s Amadou Krubally finished 22nd.
