Daly Wins 4th Straight in Return

Feb. 4, 2021 – John Daly kept his winning streak alive, cruising to victory in Lake Placid North American Cup competition.

Daly had the second-quickest start in both heats, but was well over a second ahead of anyone else to win his fourth straight race since returning to international competition. Daly finished 1.33 seconds ahead of teammate Stephen Garbett.

Garbett overcame trouble at the start of his first run to end the first heat in third place. On his second run he was clean off the top on his way to move to the silver medal position.

The United States grabbed the top four places on home ice, with Alex Ivanov edging out Daniel Barefoot by .02 for bronze.

Canada’s Troy Wilson and David Park rounded out the top six.

Joel Seligstein, Blake Enzie, and Patrick Farias rounded out the nine sled field.
