Graybill Wins Lake Placid NAC Gold

From Lake Placid, USA

Feb. 4, 2021 – The United States’ Savannah Graybill cruised to victory on home ice to win her first gold medal of the 2020/2021 season.

Graybill was dominant in the race, setting the two fastest times of the race on her way to a .62 second victory over teammate Mystique Ro.

The gold for Graybill was her first at any level since the 2016/2017 Intercontinental Cup season, where she swept both ends of the ICC double header in Lake Placid.

Ro’s silver was her fifth straight NAC medal. She has two golds, a silver and two bronzes over that time.

Canada’s Madison Charney finished third for her third straight medal.

Leslie Stratton finished fourth, ahead of Jamaica’s Audra Segree and Nigeria’s Simidele Adeagbo who rounded out the top six.

Canada’s Grace Dafoe and Malta’s Shannon Galea rounded out the eight sled field. The race was the first in Lake Placid for Galea.
