Rissling Wins Monobob Opener

(November 7, 2021) – Alysia Rissling won the opening race of the 2021/2022 Women’s Monobob World Series and North American Cup, cruising to gold in Whistler.

Rissling set the two fastest times of the race. In the first heat she was over a second quicker than anyone else. On her second run she edged out teammate Bianca Ribi for the quick time of the heat to win by a total of 1.72 seconds over Brittany Reinbolt of the United States.

The monobob event was just Rissling’s third official monobob race. She has never finished out of the top six.

Reinbolt finished second for her second medal in as many Monobob World Series events.

Jamaica’s Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian finished with a bronze medal, her seconds straight in the discipline.

USA’s Nicole Vogt finished fourth, ahead of Ribi and Marina Silva Tuono.
