Reinbolt Wins 1st of NAC Season in Park City

(November 28, 2021) – Brittany Reinbolt drove to victory in Park City, leading a USA 1-2 in two-woman bobsled.

Reinbolt and Nicole Brungardt were the second quickest off the top, but had the fastest time of both heats on their way to a .32 second victory over teammates Nicole Vogt and Emily Renna.

Vogt trailed Reinbolt by just .07 after the first heat, but Reinbolt stepped up on the second run to win by .32 seconds.

The gold for Reinbolt was her first of the season, and her first since November 27, 2015 (Whistler). In that time she’d won 11 other medals.

Canada’s Alysia Rissling won bronze, her first non-gold medal of the 2021/2022 North American Cup season with a bronze medal. The third place for Rissling snapped a streak of eight straight gold medals to kick off the NAC season.

Canada’s Bianca Ribi finished fourth, ahead of Jazmine Fenlator and USA’s Riley Compton.

The United States’ Lauren Brzozowski and brakewoman Michelle Szlauko made their first career starts in a two-woman bobsled and finished seventh.
