(November 29, 2021) – Taylor Austin won his fourth gold medal in five tries on the 2021/2022 North American Cup four-man season, edging out Frank Del Duca for top honors.
Austin’s Canadian team had the two quickest times of the race, but still only edged Del Duca by .14 for gold.
Del Duca’s team set the quick push of the race, a 4.92, and leapfrogged teammate Tyler Hickey for silver, while Hickey took bronze.
Korea’s Youngjin Suk finished fourth, just ahead of Brazil’s Edson Bindilatti. The United States’ Geoff Gadbois rounded out the top six.
Canada’s Pat Norton finished ninth, one spot ahead of Israel’s Adam Edelman, in his first season as a bobsled pilot after making the 2018 Olympics as a skeleton athlete.
