2021/2022 IBSF Intercontinental Cup Final Points

(January 7, 2022) – The IBSF Intercontinental Cup wrapped up their season with a pair of races in Altenberg, Germany. Below are the top ten in the season standings for both the men’s and women’s skeleton season.

Men’s Skeleton

Russia’s Evgeniy Rukosuev cruised to a season long championship in Intercontinental Cup action, winning four golds and scoring a podium in all eight races on his way to a season long victory where he clinched the title a race early.

Rukosuev was also the top junior on the tour.

Behind him, three Germans battled for position all season long. Eventually Felix Seibel took second place on the strength of a last race victory in Altenberg. He finished 23 points ahead of teammate Felix Keisinger who finished third.

Lukas Nydegger was fourth on the season, only one point behind his teammate Keisinger.

Nathan Crumpton, representing American Samoa, finished the year in fifth, ahead of Daniil Romanov in sixth.

Romanov did not start the season on tour.

Andrew Blaser was the top North American in seventh despite not racing the final two races of the season.

Women’s Skeleton

Like on the men’s side of things, a junior ran away with the season title on the women’s side as well.

Germany’s Susanne Kreher won five gold medals on her way to a 100 point victory over Canada’s Hallie Clark. Kreher started the season off the podium in Whistler twice, but then rallied to win five golds and a silver.

Clarke, on her first season on tour, never finished outside of the top five to finish the year in second place, ahead of veteran Sophia Griebel in third. Griebel was disqualified from a race in Sigulda.

The United States’ Savannah Graybill finished the year in fourth, just ahead of Canada’s Madison Charney, while Russia’s Alena Frolova finished the season in sixth.
