(February 4, 2022) – Men’s luge will kick off the 2022 Olympic sliding sport program with 35 men set to take the ice for the first run of the competition.
The four-heat format for the race is as follows:
Run 1 – Athletes go from start order 1-35
Run 2 – The athletes go from the first run start order 12-1, 24-13, then 35-25
Run 3 – The field goes from first to last
Run 4 – The top 20 go in reverse order
Here is the start list for the competition, with FIL Rankings based off of the nine two-heat World Cup races. Sprint rankings are omitted as it was not used in Olympic qualifying.
