(February 23, 2025) – Charlotte Candrix slid to gold in the penultimate race of the 2024/2025 Europe Cup two-woman season.
She and brakewoman Mira Baus opened up a .22 lead over teammates Leona Klein and Michaela Blanick atfer one heat, with Diana Filipszki and Sarah Neitz in third.
Inola Blatty and Noemi Beutler were able to out-slide Filipszki and Neitz in the second heat to break up a German podium sweep, but Kelin’s second drive was more than enough to give her the lead and guarantee Germany a victory.
Candrix and Baus set the quick start of the race in the second heat, and Candrix had the quick split all the way down as the duo won by .26 over Kelin nad Blanck, with Blatty and Beutler third.
The win for Candrix was her fourth of the season in the two-seater.
Filipszki was fourth, with Austria’s Lea Haslwanter and Isabela Indruchova fifth and Giada Andreutti and Martina Favaretto up from ninth in the first heat to sixth.
Aussie Sarah Blizzard joined with Ashleigh Werner to complete their season in eighth place.
