(November 27, 2025) – Two days after announcing the cancelation of the men’s and women’s World Cup skeleton races in Igls, the IBSF has announced when the replacement races will be held.
Sigulda will take the place of Igls for what was scheduled to be Race 2 of the tour. The men’s race will take place on December 20 at 18:00 Sigulda time (11:00 AM ET), wit the women set for December 21 at the same time.
Importantly, participation of those races are not limited to athletes who were registered for the races in Igls.
The IBSF has not yet announced a replacement for the Skeleton Mixed Team event. Sigulda was the one track on the calendar that did not have a Mixed Team event on their calendar.
