Candrix Dominates in Altenberg Two-Woman Action

(December 13, 2025) – Charlotte Candrix and Lena Brunnhübner cruised to a gold medal in Altenberg two-woman action.

The duo had the quick start in the first heat and opened up a half second lead over Romania’s Georgeta Popescu and Theodora Vlad and Australia’s Sarah Blizzard and Desi Johnson.

In the second heat it was Leona Klein and Lena Neunecker slid to the lead from fifth place and then held that lead all the way until Candrix’s second run.

Candrix and Brunnhübner matched their quick of the first heat and while Candrix was slightly outdriven by Klein, it was more than enough to take gold by over three quarters of a second with Klein second and Popescu third.

Belgium’s Kelly Van Petegem and Dora de Haseleer slid to fourth, .05 out of the medals. Diana Filipszki and Carolin Kupsch were fifth and Blizzard and Johnson sixth.

Italy’s Simona De Silvestro and Anna Costella were seventh, Lea Haslwanter eighth and Giada Andreutti and Alessia Gatti ninith.
