From Pyeongchang, KOR
(December 14, 2025) – South Korea’s Chanhyuk Yeo cruised to victory on home ice in Pyeongchang, holding off the previous day’s winner in the process.
Yeo slid to a sizeable lead over Olympic bronze medalist Wengang Yan, with Yan the only slider within a half second of the leader.
In the second heat Yan put down what was the quick slide of the heat to take the lead ahead of South Korea’s Yeonsu Shin with just Yeo to go.
Yeo matched Yan’s second heat time to slide to victory, .42 ahead of Yan with no one else with a full second of the Korean slider.
Yan took silver, and Shin bronze.
China’s Guoqing Yu scored a career-best fourth place finish, ahead of Australia’s Nick Timmings in fifth and Malaysia’s Jonathan Yaw in sixth.
Great Britain’s Matthew Alvarez and Laurence Bostock finished 10th and 11th, while Ryan Kuehn led the way for Canada.
