From Lake Placid, USA
(January 11, 2026) – Bianca Ribi continued her strong North American Cup season with her fourth straight gold medal in two-woman bobsled, beating out South Korea’s Yooran Kim for the third straight time.
Ribi and brakewoman Brynn McNabb were the first off in the first heat, but were out-slid by Kim and Eunji Jeon in the first heat by .06, with the remainder of the field at least a half of a second back.
In the second heat, Ribi threw down what would be the quickest run of the second heat to take the lead from Slovakia’s Viktoria Cernanska. Kim was the final pilot off, and while her slide was nearly as good as her first, Ribi’s was just a bit better as the Canadian took gold by just .08 over Kim.
Cernanska and brakewoman Lucia Mokrasova were third for their first medal of the season, ahead of Taiwan’s Sin-Rong Lin and Song-En Lin in fourth, and Jamaica’s Mica Moore and Audra Segree in fifth.
Thailand’s Agnese Campeol and Paethong Wannakhot rounded out the top six.
With one race remaining in the 2025/2026 North American Cup season, Bianca Ribi holds a commanding lead over Yooran Kim, with Viktoria Cernanska in third. Sin-Rong Lin and Mica Moore round out the top five, tied for fourth.
