(January 12, 2026) – Wenhui Liu slid to gold ahead of Poland’s Marta Jakobczyk in the sixth race of the Asian Cup season.
Liu held a .76 second advantage over teammate Jiahui Chai after the first heat, with Jakobczyk in third, nearly a full second back.
But Jakobczyk threw down the best run of the second heat to take the lead from Siqi Xu, then held that lead as Chai couldn’t match her first run pace and fell completely out of the medals.
Liu’s second slide was a little messy below the Kreisel, but she had more than enough padding from her first heat to win by .67 over Jakobczyk, with Xu three seconds back in third.
