McNeill Wins Second in a Row

From Park City, USA

(Nov. 20, 2018) – Mica McNeill swept the women’s bobsled events in the Park City stop of the North American Cup, winning by a half-second in the second race to beat the upstart Chinese program.

The 2017 Junior World Champion was well ahead of most of the competition, edging out both Chinese sleds by under a second, but beating the rest of the field by at least 2.46 seconds to take her second North American Cup gold of her career.

Qing Ying and Mingming Huai finished second and third respectively for the best scoring day yet for the Chinese program.

Australia’s Ashleigh Werner finished a career-best fourth, ahead of Canada’s Cynthia Serwaah and Kori Hol, who rounded out the top six.

Shelby Williamson was the only American credited with a finish, finishing seventh, while Catherine Medeiros finished eight in the third Canadian sled.
