(Jan. 12, 2019) – Russian went one-two in Altenberg, with Evgeniy Rukosuev taking gold.
In a one-heat race, Rukosuev edged both teammate Vladislav Semenov and previous day’s winner Dominic Rady to take gold.
The podium was all separated by .07.
Fabian Küchler finished fourth, ahead of Samuel Maier and Cedric Renner.
With one race to go in the IBSF European Cup men’s skeleton season, Küchler holds a 79 point lead, which is enough to clinch the 2018/2019 men’s skeleton title. Evgeniy Rukosuev clinched second overall, far enough ahead of Cedric Renner to clinch that position.
