Becker Sweeps Altenberg EC Stop

(Jan. 12, 2019) – Janine Becker won her third straight IBSF European Cup race, winning handily in a one-heat race.

Becker had the third-quickest start time but was fastest at the bottom of the track to take the win ahead of teammate Hannah Neise.

Luisa HOrnung and Anastasia Trufanova finished tied for third, with Josefa Schellmoser and Agathe Bessard in fifth and sixth.

The win gave Becker a 60 point advantage over teammate Hannah Neise going into the final race of the season in Sigulda. Luisa Hornung sits third, with an outside shot of moving to second.
