Keisinger Wins First ICC Race of the Season

From Park City, USA

(Jan. 19, 2019) – Felix Keisinger won his first Intercontinental Cup race of the 2018/2019 season in a one-heat race due to heavy snow a day prior.

The German slider was the second quickest off the top (behind Britain’s Craig Thompson), but by halfway down the 2002 Olympic track he was the quickest by .18 over teammate Alexander Gassner.

The race was the first ICC race for Keisinger of the season. He’d won five of his last six races on the ICC tour in the 2017/2018 season.

Gassner finished second in his first ICC race since January of 2016, while Jisoo Kim finished third.

Kim’s teammate Seunggi Jung finished fourth, while Nathan Crumpton finished fifth and Thompson sixth.

Mike Rogals and Andrew Blaser helped put all three Americans in the top ten with ninth and tenth place finishes.

Mark Lynch was the top-finishing Canadian in 13th. Patrick Rooney finished 15th and Kyle Murray 18th. Stefan Squire finished 14th for Great Britain.
