FIBT World Cup – Round 3 – 4-Man Bobsled – Heat 1

From Winterberg, Germany

For seemingly the first time all weekend, there was a heat where the weather did not play a factor for the contending teams.  The snow and any wind stayed steady through just before John Napier’s run.  The snow picked up for the runs of Napier and GBR’s Jackson, with Jackson putting down an abysmal time.  Within a minute of Jackson’s run finishing, the snow lightened back up, greatly favoring the subsequent drivers.

It’s another tight four-man race this week, with the Zubkov-piloted RUS-1 sled .01 ahead of GER-1 and LAT-2.  It’s less than .2 back through the 6th place Holcomb-piloted USA-1.
