Nov. 23, 2019 – Andreea Grecu won gold in the European Cup women’s bobsled opener, cruising to a .31 victory over France’s Margo Boch.
The Romanian brakewoman-turned-pilot was the quickest off the top in both heats on her way to her second straight European Cup victory dating back to the 2018/2019 season.
The win was her fifth European Cup podium in six attempts.
Boch finished a career-best second, ahead of Alena Osipenko in third. The two women came into the second heat tied for second.
Melanie Hasler, Anne Lobenstein, and Tania Vicenzino rounded out the top six.
