Crumpton Wins 2nd Gold in Park City

Dec. 9, 2019 – On the back half of two one-heat races, Nathan Crumpton won a second gold medal on the day, this time getting the top spot on the podium to himself.

Crumpton put down the third fastest start of the race, and cruised to a .29 second victory over China’s Haifeng Zhu, who he had shared gold with a few hours prior.

Jing Zhang finished third.

Rin Kinoshita finished a career-best fourth, ahead of Ander Mirambell of Spain and Zheng Yin of China.

Chris Strup finished just outside of the top six in seventh as the only American in the top ten. Kyler Sultemeirer finished 13th, Zack Goodwin 15th, and Hunter Williams 18th to round out the American effort.

For Canada, Troy Wilson sneaked in the top ten with a tenth place finish. David Park finished just outside of the top ten in 11th, while James Airey finished 16th and Jordan Rwiyamilira 23rd.

The race was held as a one-heat race.
