Jan. 4, 2020 – Pavel Porshnev & Ivan Lazarev came from behind to take gold ahead of Patrick Pigneter & Florian Clara in the FIL Natural Track World Cup opener in Winterleiten.
The Russian duo came into the second heat just .04 behind the Italians. On the second run, Porshnev & Lazarev came down with a nearly identical run to their first. Pigneter & Clara couldn’t answer, coming down .2 off the Russian pace and falling to second overall.
Italians Patrick & Matthias Lambacher finished third, over a second back, while nobody else was within two seconds of the winners.
