Austin Sweeps Lake Placid 4-man Stop, Wins NAC Title

Jan. 8, 2020 – Taylor Austin once again won in IBSF North American Cup 4-man action, sweeping the three races in Lake Placid and winning the overall title in the process.

Austin and his team set the fast start time and was quicker than everyone at every split on his way to a .43 victory over American Nick Cunningham.

Austin finished his season on a six race winning streak in 4-man, winning all three races in Park City and sweeping the three races in Lake Placid.

Cunningham, who finished second in every 4-man race he entered on the season, once again was second. Like Austin, he started his race in second and second at ever split in both heats.

Canada’s Jeff McKeen finished third, ahead of Bryan Berghorn in fourth.

Patrick Norton rounded out the top five, while Geoff Gadbois had trouble on the bottom half of the track and did not finish in the second heat.

Austin had already clinched the 4-man title coming into the final race of the year. He finished 200 points ahead of McKeen in second. Cunningham finished third on the season despite missing the first two races of the year.
