Jan. 18, 2020 – Patrick Pigneter & Florian Clara won their third straight FIL Natural Track luge race, cruising to victory in Romania.
The Italian duo had the two fastest runs of the race on their way to a .79 second victory over teammate Patrick & Matthias Lambacher. It was the second time in two races that the two Italian teams finished one-two.
Aleksandr & Petr Popov finished third, a second behind Pigneter & Clara.
Pavel Porshnev & Ivan Lazarev finished fourth, enough to hang onto second place in the World Cup standings, tied with Lambacher & Lambacher and 85 points behind Pigneter & Clara.
