The first race of the 2015/2016 FIL Natural Track World Cup was held as a parallel race, in bracket form. The Italian team of Patrick Pigneter & Florian Clara took the win, cruising to victory against the Austrian team of Christoph Regensburger & Dominik Holzknecht in the final round.
Both teams had to beat Russian teams to get to the finals, and in the third place, the team of Egorov & Popov took the win over two heats against teammates Kovshik & Tarasov to take the bronze medal.
